My program consists of horseback riding lessons teaching a balanced seat that is needed for whichever riding discipline you choose. Horsemanship skills will also be taught to riders. My program is not just about learning to ride but to understand the horse and what the the horse needs from the rider. All levels of riders are welcome.

My program, also, consists of helping riders with their own horse that might be experiencing difficulties with negative horse behaviors such as a horse not wanting to load into trailer, not standing to be mounted, tacking up, grooming, bucking and etc. I hold Horsemanship Workshops at Seven Oaks Ranch to build confidence between horse and rider.

Cottonwood Stables opened in 2002 in Spring Hill, KS. We offer horseback riding lessons for English and Western riders, beginning through advanced. We also host birthday parties, youth group parties, and Girl Scout and Boy Scout programs.

Our goal is that you are able to love and enjoy your horse in a safe fun environment, knowing your horse is receiving quality care with us.

At Lakeside Stables we offer riding lessons for all levels.
We start our students as early as 5.
They are group lesson, by age and ability.

Here’s a quick run down on what you can expect from the point of arrival at the barn:

Lessons are all year around.
They are group lessons and run for an hour
Private upon request and if trainers schedule allows.

Lessons run on Sunday during the day, Monday evenings and Tuesday evenings.

We do everything at the speed of the student.

We will work on walking and trotting first then do something fun like barrels, poles, low level jumps. May do cattle drives through the pasture and the occasional trail ride in the pasture.
