Want to learn how to ride? Already have your own horse but want to build a better relationship with your horse? Have kids and need a fun, energetic instructor that will teach them properly while having a blast? I focus on centered, balanced riding that relates to almost all disciplines in the horse world. In my lessons you will learn how to handle the horse on the ground and under saddle. You will learn how to balance on the horse and you will learn how to control the horse using your hands, legs and seat. My goal is for you to have a fun time while learning how to communicate and better control your horse. I have an extensive background in showing and have done a lot of winning at a national level in Western and English. I have taken students from never riding before to winning in the show ring in just a few months. I teach western and english, barrel racing, trail riding, cow work and showing western and english pleasure. I have been teaching riding lessons for over 15 years and am very passionate about teaching people how to ride. You can either use one of my horses or you can bring your own. If you are having problems with your horse, I can help you tune them up and decide if they are workable or if it is just not the right fit for you. I teach western and english and offer basic riding lessons as well as show specific lessons for western pleasure, saddleseat, hunt seat, lower level dressage, Jumping, and barrels. I specialize in children, but also am great with helping adults who have had bad experiences get over their fears. My lesson horses are almost always for sale so if you fall in love with one of them while you are taking lessons you will have the opportuninty to purchase the horse. I also have limited lease to buy programs and offer serious students the option of showing my horses. Welcome to Knot Quite A Ranch! We offer a program designed for students to learn all about horses, not just riding them. Our program offers a safe, comfortable, and supportive place to learn and practice equine skills. Students learn to get their horses, groom, tack, warm up, workout and cool them off. KQR’s goal is to teach students to have the confidence and knowledge to be able to safely work with horses from start to finish. The lessons plans include a wide range of skills from beginning to advanced. We include education in minor veterinary needs, anatomy, behavior, hoof care, tack & bit knowledge, and so much more!
Group lessons have three to four students in a class. Most students attend one class a week. We also offer private lessons for students desiring a more specific lesson plan. Children can begin ages 7 and up. We have Quarter Horses and Paint Horses that make an outstanding group of lesson mounts. New horse doesn't actually give contact info out when you use the "shop around" option, so unfortunately it's impossible for me to get back to you with that route! I appreciate it, and look forward to hearing from you. Wendy Lynn Arabians offers riding lessons, horse training, camps, and birthday parties in North Scottsdale. Instruction is available in all disciplines including saddleseat, hunter, and western pleasure, showmanship, equitation, and show hack. All levels are welcome, including beginners, as well as all ages of riders from 5 yrs and up. Everyone who rides is required to sign a liability waiver, and all minors are required to wear an approved riding helmet. Helmets will be provided initially if you do not have your own. Long pants are required, jeans are fine, and some sort of boot with a heel must be worn to ride. Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance or you will be charged. If you have another commitment you know about ahead of time we usually just find another riding time that week so that varying schedules can be accommodated.

Lessons are private, hour long, and $40 each. In that lesson you learn how to lead, groom, and tack your horse as well as ride. Riding time is usually 30-45 minutes. Tons of individual attention is given on experienced, safe, and quality school horses. Friends and family members are welcome to stay and watch lessons as long as children are under supervision.

During the summer and school breaks kid's horse camp is also available. Camp is typically 4 hours long in the morning and $75 a day. During camp kids ride, do crafts, and play games. There is also additional time to cover things not normally in a regular lesson like clipping, bathing, showmanship, cleaning tack, and educational activities such as breeds, colors, and parts of the horse.

Birthday parties are offered for groups of up to 8 kids, 5 yrs and up. They include hands on grooming, feeding the horses treats, and a pony ride for all. Parties can be tailored for your individual needs.

Wendy Lynn Arabians is located at Winter Rose Equestrian at 6740 E. Jomax Rd in Scottsdale, AZ. The owner lives on site and the property is fully fenced and gated. There are 3 arenas that are dragged and watered 2 times a day, 2 barns with automatic waterers and misters, turn outs, full service boarding, a track, a bull pen, and a trail course.
