S.T.A.R.S. of Horsemanship is located at Triple L Stables near Gilbert Road & Chandler Blvd, and we are opening another location in Chandler Heights in 2013. Lessons are coordinated and designed by an ARIA and EAGALA certified instructor with a degree in Equine Science and over 35 years experience with horses. Both English and/or Western riding is taught to all ages & abilities. We are also a certified AZ Special Olympics Equestrian Delegation and offer free lessons & showing to our Special Olympics athletes and we have volunteer opportunities for our students/parents. Has your child ever expressed a wish to become a cowboy or cowgirl? At Superstition Farm, we can do just that!

We offer horseback riding lessons from beginner (even a never-seen-a-horse-in-real-life-beginner) through intermediate. Your aspiring cowboy or cowgirl will learn horsemanship from the ground up - they'll learn how to care for, interact and bond with the horse before ever getting in a saddle. Once in the saddle, safety will be emphasized, but fun will be had! Lessons are taught on our farm, with our horses and our equipment.

We also offer adult lessons! If you've ever wanted to ride a horse, now is your chance! Lessons can be scheduled as something just for you, or with your child. It's an excellent opportunity for a fun activity with your little rider!

New horse doesn't actually give contact info out when you use the "shop around" option, so unfortunately it's impossible for me to get back to you with that route! I appreciate it, and look forward to hearing from you. Wendy Lynn Arabians offers riding lessons, horse training, camps, and birthday parties in North Scottsdale. Instruction is available in all disciplines including saddleseat, hunter, and western pleasure, showmanship, equitation, and show hack. All levels are welcome, including beginners, as well as all ages of riders from 5 yrs and up. Everyone who rides is required to sign a liability waiver, and all minors are required to wear an approved riding helmet. Helmets will be provided initially if you do not have your own. Long pants are required, jeans are fine, and some sort of boot with a heel must be worn to ride. Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance or you will be charged. If you have another commitment you know about ahead of time we usually just find another riding time that week so that varying schedules can be accommodated.

Lessons are private, hour long, and $40 each. In that lesson you learn how to lead, groom, and tack your horse as well as ride. Riding time is usually 30-45 minutes. Tons of individual attention is given on experienced, safe, and quality school horses. Friends and family members are welcome to stay and watch lessons as long as children are under supervision.

During the summer and school breaks kid's horse camp is also available. Camp is typically 4 hours long in the morning and $75 a day. During camp kids ride, do crafts, and play games. There is also additional time to cover things not normally in a regular lesson like clipping, bathing, showmanship, cleaning tack, and educational activities such as breeds, colors, and parts of the horse.

Birthday parties are offered for groups of up to 8 kids, 5 yrs and up. They include hands on grooming, feeding the horses treats, and a pony ride for all. Parties can be tailored for your individual needs.

Wendy Lynn Arabians is located at Winter Rose Equestrian at 6740 E. Jomax Rd in Scottsdale, AZ. The owner lives on site and the property is fully fenced and gated. There are 3 arenas that are dragged and watered 2 times a day, 2 barns with automatic waterers and misters, turn outs, full service boarding, a track, a bull pen, and a trail course. Welcome to Knot Quite A Ranch! We offer a program designed for students to learn all about horses, not just riding them. Our program offers a safe, comfortable, and supportive place to learn and practice equine skills. Students learn to get their horses, groom, tack, warm up, workout and cool them off. KQR’s goal is to teach students to have the confidence and knowledge to be able to safely work with horses from start to finish. The lessons plans include a wide range of skills from beginning to advanced. We include education in minor veterinary needs, anatomy, behavior, hoof care, tack & bit knowledge, and so much more!
Group lessons have three to four students in a class. Most students attend one class a week. We also offer private lessons for students desiring a more specific lesson plan. Children can begin ages 7 and up. We have Quarter Horses and Paint Horses that make an outstanding group of lesson mounts. Students rotate between the mounts to learn the various skills and challenges each has to offer for maximum learning ability.
