Come and enjoy a beautiful horseback ride through miles of scenic trails. Trail Rides,Pony Rides,Petting Farm,Sunset Rides,and Lessons. We offer lessons at the stable, including both western and english lessons. Riding lessons are taken on one of the horses or ponies in the riding arena or on the trail. The goal of each lesson is to develop confidence in the rider and to create a bond between horse and rider through teamwork. All riding lessons are based on basic dressage principles that help reinforce the essentials of basic horsemanship and equitation. Lessons are developed and taught around each rider's individual skill level and are available for riders age or older. The lessons help to develop self-confidence, range of motion, balance, agility and self-advocacy. Walnut Grove Farm is a great place to improve upon your skills or learn to ride. Beth Walkowicz is the instructor and trainer for Walnut Grove Farm, which she owns and operates with her husband. The farm is the home of the East Aurora Pony Club, and of the University at Buffalo Equestrian Team, both of which Beth instructs. Beth specializes in the sport of eventing, with a very strong focus on dressage. Her students range in ability from beginners to Two-Star level eventers, in age from 5-75, and in interests, including eventing, dressage, hunters, equitation, and jumpers. She accepts a few horses in for training, or will travel to you. She has been a working student for Phillip Dutton, Christopher Bartle, and Jane Bartle-Wilson.
