Lessons for all ages . Beginner to advanced. May use a school horse or bring your own horse. I teach Western , English , Showmanship, Horsemanship, Equitation and Western or English Pleasure. Also Barrels and Poles . Been in business for 20 yrs .

We offer Horse Riding Lessons or Basic Horsemanship. Riding sessions and packages available for children and adults! We have a indoor and outdoor arena so we can do lessons in all weather.

Graystone provide the highest quality lessons, training, and care offered in the Northeast Ohio area. At Sunset Stables we give instruction in huntseat, western, showmanship, trail (class and riding) offer lessons for the most nervous of beginner to more advanced riders who want to show on the circuit. We can get you to your very first show or for more experience riders offer the polish it takes for the winner circle. We enjoy showing but we put our focus on safe proper technique to make sure the rider and horse gets the most from the experience. We offer lessons from ages 4 and up. Our professional is Heather Froehlich. Heather is a second generation horse trainer with 15 years teaching and training experience already at the age of 28. She has extensive experience in hunters, jumpers, equitation, dressage and horse health care. Heather has very successfully shown at Regional A rated shows qualifying for nationals 6 consecutive years as a child rider as well as qualifying numerous students for finals as well.
Heather has trained with a variety of professional trainers including Lynn Cartellone, Jeff Gogul, Farra Phillips-Hillyard and John Roper. She has also attended numerous clinics, studying the concepts of George Morris, Susan Harris, Felicitous, and Frank Madden. From 2006 - 2008 she spent in Central Pennsylvania training horses and riders of all levels including serving as assistant coach for the Bucknell Equestrian Team.
Heathers is an experienced and enthusiastic trainer dedicated to producing well-rounded, effective and confident equestrians. Anyone who works with Heather comes to appreciate the one on one attention given to both the horse and rider and the attention to details. Heather has attained a high skill level of riding and is able to school or re-school the greenest of horses. We teach all ages and levels of hunter, jumper and hunt-seat equitation riding and will help you reach your specific riding goals while learning invaluable horsemanship skills.
Our trainer and students attend shows and clinics in order to keep current on the latest riding techniques.

A teacher first and foremost, Kerry Varble combines a lifetime of experience in multiple disciplines including eventing, hunter/jumpers, mountain trail, and endurance, with a professional approach to the education of horses and riders. She holds a masters degree in education from Walsh University and a graduate certificate in the teaching of learners with mild/moderate disabilities from Baldwin Wallace University.

As a riding instructor, Kerry is able to transition her teaching skills to help students gain the knowledge, confidence and expertise to accomplish their riding objectives while enjoying the learning experience.

In addition to assisting students achieve their riding goals, Kerry has trained horses of all breeds for jumping, dressage, and mountain trail. She specializes in working with off track thoroughbreds, and she has worked with CANTER Ohio doing first rides off the track and training rides to help transition horses to new careers.

In 2021 Kerry was champion of the open training division of the NEOMTA mini trials series with her mare, Happy Eloise, that she purchased as a three year old at the 2017 Mountaineer racetrack auction. She currently trains with ICP4* certified instructor Dr. Susan Hines, and has worked with Jackie Smith of Stone Gate Farm, learning all aspects of running horse trials and shows.
