Nicole had a highly successful junior career, and continues her success with her clients and their horses. Nicole grew up in New Albany, Ohio just two miles from her current farm in Johnstown.

Our aspiration at Cross Trails Stables is to provide an inexpensive facility where horse lovers of all ages can have serious, and play, time with horses. We offer full care in our 13,060 sq ft facility. Our full board includes feedings of 14% pelleted feed, quality hay grown on the farm, daily stall cleaning with fresh shavings and turnout (weather permitting). Owners and stable help live on site. Year-Round Lesson Program at Camp Kern!

Just when you thought Camp Kern was just for summer camp and school groups! Circle K Ranch, located at Camp Kern, has a fun, safe, educational, and progressive lesson program that is offered all year long. Our instructors are patient and knowledgeable and will help students of all ages achieve their horseback riding and horsemanship goals.

Lessons are offered in English, Western, Dressage, and Jumping, with a strong emphasis on good horsemanship, horse care, and sportsmanship. Students spend most of their lesson time on horseback, but will also participate in ground lessons on topics such as; grooming, tacking, leading, lunging, horse first aid, horse terms, barn management, and more!

With more then 50 horses and many different instructors there you can come to learn anything you want! We are a fit for students of all dispositions and experience level!

Schedule & Rates

Scheduling is flexible and lessons are offered most weekday evenings as well as Sunday afternoons. Lesson times last for 1 hour, and students should plan to arrive to lessons 15 minutes early to start grooming and tacking their horses. Students should allow about 10 minutes after the lesson to un-tack, groom, and turn their horse out.

I can halter break foals, start horses under saddle, or finish a horse in any of the following disciplines; western, english, jumping, showmanship, contesting and trail. I charge $35 per hour and like the owner of the horse to learn my training techniques so they know what to do with the horse when they are working with them. I also do monthly training that requires the horse be boarded on out farm. $250 for full care board and $250 for training. I work with the horse at least 4 times a week. My main goal when training is to have a calm, respectful and willing horse on the ground and in the saddle. I believe the proper ground work is the key to most problems. I give lessons to beginners up to experienced riders. I also will give lessons to all ages; no on is too young or too old in my eyes. I prefer private lessons only but will give a group lesson up to two riders at a time. I charge $35 per private lesson and $25 per rider for a group lesson. Lessons usually last 1 1/2 hours because I guarantee an hour on the horses back.

I have 19 years of experience training horses/riders. I have had over 6 different personal trainers and I study John Lyons,Pat Parelli,Guy McLean, Chris Cox, Clinton Anderson, Craig Cameron and many others on a consistent basis. I believe you can never know everything and the same techniques do not work on every horse. I have shown in all of the above disciplines and have done very well.

I have over ten years experience riding, including a period of employment as a trail guide. Lessons would be at your home/or boarding facility on your own horse. I do have a lesson horse available if needed. I showed western pleasure in 4-h, have some experience in cutting, reining and mounted shooting. Lessons are $25/hour with discounts for purchasing packages.

Training:I do not finish horses but I can help solve some problems you may be having. In addition I really enjoy working with weanlings and yearlings groundwork etc. I will come to you if you have a round pen or you can board your horse(s) where I keep my own. I charge $1=100 /week plus mileage. Off site or $50/week + board if you choose to do that.

Includes a ride/working with your horse 5 days a week for 1-2 hours
I will also offer specialized services such as stall cleaning, barn upkeep, feeding, horse/house/pet sitting ($15/hour) and excercise riding ($20/hour)

We provide lessons for the beginner through advanced rider, focusing on the importance of a correct seat for successful communication with your horse. Whether you prefer Western or English disciplines, we will help you communicate clearly with the horse for balanced and collected movement. Some people call this 'centered riding' and some call it 'biomechanics,' we call it solid horsemanship. We provide lessons on our horses or you can load in.

For those starting out in horse riding, we will provide you instruction on horse care, grooming, haltering and leading a horse. We will show you how to tack up, and we will discuss the horse's structure and the biomechanics of riding. We want you to learn the cues for riding, when to apply them and why they work. Under saddle you will learn how to balance upon your horse and communicate with your horse through your hands, seat and legs. We will provide you training in walk, trot and canter in an arena setting and then move outside of the arena for more challenge.

For the intermediate student who currently rides and wants to expand their ability, we will further develop your seat with balance and agility exercises. You can learn flying lead changes, dressage patterns or how to jump - anything is possible once you have confidence in your seat. Hello there! My style of teaching is based around the principle that bettering one's self will directly benefit their ability to work in unity with their horse. I firmly believe that what we bring to the relationship defines the limitations of our partnership, and that the majority of horsemanship is about building yourself up to be the person your horse needs. I always seek to empower each horse and human as individuals first, and then as a unified partnership. My lessons are centered around building mindfulness within ourselves and our horses, emotional resilience and regulation, and creating better understanding and practice of how to effectively communicate with our horses. Perhaps you are struggling with anxiety around riding, or your horse spooks too much for your comfort. Maybe the riding part is going great but you desire a deeper connection and feeling of togetherness with your equine partner.
