Rancho del Lago strives to inspire their students to reach excellence in their riding. Beginning riders are taught the basic balanced seat, proper use of aids as well as care and grooming of their mounts. More advanced riders are instructed in classical dressage and equitation to create harmony and effective communication between horse and rider. New Zealander Marguerite Barrier works with all skill levels, from beginning through advanced, and will take all ages of riders, from four year olds through adult. Marguerite specializes in introducing mature adults with no riding experience to horsemanship in an organized and safe fashion. She welcomes any student who demonstrates a commitment to excellence in the hunter/jumper and general equitation disciplines.

Marguerite offers training and lessons on a beautiful 20 acre ranch in Briones, California, just minutes from Highways 24 and 80 in the Bay Area.

The facility offers

* a large outdoor jumping arena,
* indoor arena,
* round pen,
* turn-out pasture for daily turn-outs,
* stalls with runs, and
* box stalls.

Lesson horses available for all skill levels. Horses are also available for sale or lease.

Training is $350 per month, which includes lessons; horse board is $300 per month in pasture, stalls are $500 - $600 per month. If your horse is not in training, group lessons are $50 per hour; private lessons are $50 per half hour, $100 per hour.
