We offer lessons for riders interested in Hunter/Jumpers or Western Pleasure and now offering Ranch Horse training. Students are encouraged to go to monthly horse shows with our show team. Horses are available to lesson on or boarding is available so you can lesson on your own horse. Private and semi private lessons are offered to students. We treat both horse and rider with respect and patience. Taking all participants into consideration. We enjoy problem solving and improving the communication between the rider and their equine partner. Leasing and sales are also available. My true passion is with beginners, to bring them into the equine community so they may learn responsibility, respect for animals, promote physical and emotional well being, as well as having lots of fun. Anvil Acres is a full service facility. We have instructors in several different disciplines available with well trained lesson horses. We are able to offer a variety of levels of training from beginners looking for a solid foundation, through show ring presentation at advanced levels. We have an all grass jump course, a 20 x 60 meter dressage arena, a large clay arena and we also have an area with western trail obstacles. Our students are offered the choice of attending horse shows on their own horse or on our lesson horses. Horse Lover's Club: A Fun club of horse loving kids who are learning the basics of the animals we all love. We will explore the different varieties of riding through an hour group riding lesson. Then we will return to the barn, and our instructor will lead a fun, interactive horse science class that will improve your knowledge on anatomy, safety, care, barn management, and much more.
Note: This is a fun, beginner level educational session, participants may have a few take home assignments that they will be scheduled to bring back to their club meeting the next week.

Day Camp:
School is out? We are open! Join us during school breaks - Join us and our four-legged friends for a day of riding, fun, and meet new friends. SPACE IS LIMITED, SIGN UP AND RESERVE YOUR SPOT TODAY! Additional information can be found on our scheduling page or through Facebook.

We begin our day riding riding English or Western it is up to you. Not sure, or first time riding? Not a problem! Our instructor will be happy to assist you in choosing After riding, and our horses are bathed, and cooled, we break under the shade of the barn for our first hands-on Horse Science Lesson. What is a better way to learn than hands-on with our equine friends? Riders will learn the aspects of grooming, nutrition, anatomy, horse care, veterinary care, and much more during this session.

In the afternoon we break for lunch and cool down in the A/C or under one of our large oak trees. In the mid-afternoon Riders will work with their assigned Project Horse and participate in the various activities (show grooming, bathing, clipping, etc.)

In the late afternoon our riding sessions pick up again to include horseback games, or bareback riding.... See More

We are a full training and boarding facility, offering qualified instruction with over thirty tears experience for the beginner to advanced rider, specializing in dressage. Our arenas have excellent footing even after the worst rain.

Professional instruction by experienced riding instructor/trainer. I instruct children and adults and beginners to advanced. I have had riders and horses win on the "A" breed circuit, and have also had riders and horses win at Nationals and Top 10 at the World show for Morgans.

I keep lessons safe and fun and educational. I focus on developing a strong abdominal core for balance and strength. My facility, Arbordale LLC, is beautiful with covered riding and an air-conditioned viewing lounge for parents and friends and is convenient to both I-75 and I-275. I have a wonderful selection of lesson and show horses that I use for instruction.

I instruct riders in saddleseat, hunter seat, western pleasure, and harness. My focus is on the Morgan and Saddlebred breeds. I do take riders to little local shows and they can progress to larger breed shows and even Nationals if the opportunity presents. My pricing is affordable.
