Horseshoe Creek Stables offers public trailrides in Roanoke, Virginia located in a great country setting but close in to Roanoke City and Vinton. 1-Hr Trailrides are $30.00 each and prescheduled on weekends. I can start young horses, rehab, put training on greenies or low level horses and re train difficult or even "impossible" horses. I also teach.

I am a behavioral specialist, using liberty training (advanced groundwork) and classical Dressage technique/theory with an emphasis on biomechanics and "riding with humility" to achieve unity with your horse- making you and him/her reach for your potential and begin a journey of self transformation.

Horses will help you find yourself if you give respect, ask for respect, listen to them, and surrender your fear.

My training is Dressage based but I believe all horses need a versatile foundation and incorporate XC schooling, cavaletti, trail riding, and fun but challenging activities when appropriate to build confidence in the horse and rider. I teach riders of all ages and experience levels on their own horses in the comfort of their own facility. I can also travel to shows or schooling events. German Bereiter Gabriele Hooten, USDF L and Silver medalist provides quality dressage training, instruction, boarding, clinics, and sales.Our goal is to train each horse to be obedient, light on the aids, fun to ride, and reach it's fullest potential -- whether competing successfully at horseshows, going confidently on relaxing trail rides or safely taking care of an ambitious teenager. It all depends on the owner's wishes.
And we teach our students how to have a harmonious relationship with their equine partner in the ring and on the ground in a fun, positive way. Specializing in confidence building for the rider.
We use classical dressage and natural horsemanship training in order to get the best results.
Gabriele is a Bereiter FN, a German licensed professional dressage trainer and instructor with over 30 years of experience. She has studied under some of the best German professional dressage trainers for many years, most notably Reitmaster Guenther Festerling, one of only five German Masters to have achieved the highest level of professional training.

I teach classical, balanced hunt seat equitation - beginners through advanced and all ages using my show quality lesson master horses and poinies. We fox hunt with Bedford County Hunt, compete at hunter pace competitions, and local shows where my horses and students win by using the techniques of total horsemanship I stress at all times. The horse's well being is always first.

I have my "r" in USEF Hunters and Hunter Seat Equitation and have had it for many years - so I offer my services as a judge and clinician to educate my style of riding founded in the deep classical principals of correct forward seat riding.
