We specialize in teaching the sports of dressage and eventing to riders of all ages and ability levels.

We offer quality instruction on our horse or yours, in both the hunter and jumper disciplines, and coaching from the local through the A levels of competition. We start young horses and give them a good foundation, and "de-programming" ex-racehorses is our specialty. Our school horses are in all shapes, sizes and experience levels, and some are available for lease (leases start @ $200/mo). We always have working student positions available and often times a working boarder position, as well. Debbie Bowman Dressage is located at Spyder Lake Farm, a private estate in central Virginia between the towns of Orange and Gordonsville. The facility boasts 10 stalls, lighted indoor arena with mirrors, lighted outdoor arena, turnout, and miles of groomed trails. The setting is serene and pastoral, ideal for the serious student who wishes to be able to learn in an environment with minimal distractions.
