I have been fortunate enough to have trained with the best in the sport and have enjoyed a very successful show career. I have qualified for all of the national medal finals on numerous occasions, done the hunter derbies and jumped the Grand Prixs. I also have loads of experience with young horses of all levels and have qualified several for the 5, 6, and 7 year old young horse and suitability championships.

Storybrooke Farms specializes in Hunters, Jumpers, Equitation and Dressage. Our objective is to provide children and amateur owners with competitive partners who are confident, safe, and athletic. Safety and horsemanship are top priorities. Storybrooke students not only to work toward mastering skills while mounted, but also to learn proper care and handling, as well as a basic understanding of equine psychology. We compete at all levels of shows from schooling to the ‘AA’ Circuit and instruct beginner through advanced riders. We are based out two of a beautiful facilities, one in Chapel Hill within 15 minutes of UNC and Duke, as well as in Wake Forest, 15 minutes north of downtown. Traveling Trainer services are offered on a limited basis within the Triangle. Trailer-In lessons are also welcome at either facility.

Lessons are taught by a certified American Riding Instructor, with over 26 years of experience competing, training, teach and showing all over the midwest and east coast. Offering horseback riding lessons to children and adults. Learn both horse care and riding in a safe and fun environment. Lessons can be scheduled both weekdays and weekends. Choices include small group hour-long lessons or private hour or half hour lessons. We have high-quality experienced show horses to use as school horses. These horses know their jobs and love them. Ceiran Crihfield, the lead instructor, grew up on the farm and started teaching lessons and summer camps as a teenager under the guidance of his mother Lori a long time horseback riding instructor.They specialize in teaching children confidence and capability on horseback. Spring Haven Farm is offering an enriching experience this summer. Kids four and up are invited to come out and learn about all aspects of farm life. From riding horses to milking goats. Spring Haven Farm has it all.

About Us:
Spring Haven Farm had its first days in 2002 as an active horseback riding stable. Since those first days, this family owned and operated farm has grown beautifully. Horseback riding lessons are now just one of the several things that our farm does on a daily basis. We produce and sell organically grown vegetables through the majority of the year. We have also expanded into special events. We have many animals on the farm including goats, chickens, turkeys, horses, and pigs. All of these activities and learning opportunities make for a great experience for any camper.

Our goal at Castle French Farm is to introduce people to horses. Bright Star Stables is a non-profit therapeutic riding center. The program serves both the physically and mentally disable communities. Bright Star Stables offers therapeutic riding lessons, hippotherapy, and the opportunity for compete in equine events. Students will be taught equine care, riding, handling, and management to their best level of ability. Students will also be involved to the level of their ability, skill, and interest in competition and training horses.

Therapeutic lessons are conducted at a NARHA (North American Riding for the Handicapped Association) certified facility located in Rougemont, NC. These lessons teach individuals horsemanship skills which allow them to potentially compete in locally and nationally recognized horse events in both Western riding, as well as English riding disciplines.
