We specialize in lessons for the beginner rider up to advanced-competition levels. We offer lessons in both English and Western.

Beginner Private lessons($40) are always one student per instructor. Designed for students who have little or no experience, the following skills are covered: Grooming, saddling, leading, mounting, adjusting stirrup length, maneuvering a mount at walk and trot around the ring. Students will remain in this specially priced lesson program until it is determined by the instructor that sufficient proficiency has been attained in the above basic skills. At that time the student may either move into a group lesson or choose to remain in 1/2 hr. privates at the regular price.

Our Private Lessons($45) are always one student per instructor. Private lessons are a perfect compliment to group lessons to help focus on particular problems. It is suggested that riders have their mounts fully warmed up and ready for the lesson in order to get full benefit from the lesson.

Our group lessons($30/person) are 1 Hour long and have from 3-6 riders. We form our groups based upon rider ability level and whenever possible by age also. All new riders must first take private lessons so that we can assess the rider's ability.... See More

Vanessa and Patrick Conner have spent their lives riding and working with horses. Vanessa has been training and teaching riding professionally in the Austin area for more than two decades. Vanessa trains riders in the disciplines of dressage, show jumping and eventing. Eventing is the "triathlon" of equestrian sports and consists of dressage, show jumping and cross-country jumping. She is currently working on earning her United States Dressage Federation (USDF) bronze medal. Vanessa is an United States Eventing Association (USEA) Level I Certified Trainer.

The Conners' riding lesson and training program is based on the principles of classical dressage. Vanessa specializes in dressage training and lessons through USDF third level, and she enjoys working with all types of riders and horses. She also teaches jumping lessons through the USEA Preliminary Level (3'6"), and trains riders in the sport of eventing from the Green-as-Grass (beginner) level through Preliminary. Because the Conners' focus on eventing, their program provides lessons in both show jumping and cross-country jumping.

The Conners conduct training at their facility in Liberty Hill, Texas, just 25 minutes northwest of Austin. The Conners host clinics with outside riding clinicians, and Vanessa is also available for clinics, horse show coaching and horse evaluations.

Deirdre Dressage offers two highly qualified instructors for you to choose from. We offer lessons for very beginners learning basic horsemanship to FEI dressage. We have wonderful school horses to fit everyone's level. We also offer two FEI schoolmasters to learn the upper level movements on.

Our trainers also accept horses into training. We accept young horses to high level competition horses for promotions and sales. We are proud that we are able to offer training for every type of horse and bring each horse's natural talents out.
