My name is Wyatt McCoy I am 15 years old and live in Cove City NC. My family has had our farm ever since the 1800s we have raised cattle since the 1940s and we have always loved horses. I started riding horses about 6 years ago and I have always loved and wanted to care for horses and teach the next generation of horsemen and women. I currently have 4 horses of my own and am teaching lessons I have trained horses, I have worked with problem horses. I love working with problem horses because I love giving them a chance that someone else might not give them I have always loved to work with rescue horses and one of my horses is a rescue horse that me and my kids are working with to become a lesson horse for them to ride. I have done both Western and English. I have worked with all sorts of horses, the slowest that come and very green horses. I am also willing to board your horse as well. Misfit Equestrian/Eventing offers lessons, leasing and boarding to hunter/jumper, dressage and Eventing riders aswell as beginner students wishing to learn English riding.
We are a competitive program that does not require showing but attends 2-4 shows a month.
Beginner private lessons are an hour, in this time riders learn the basics of horsemanship (catching the horse, leading, grooming, tacking, light riding, untacking and returning the horse to the field)
Private lessons are 45 min, riders attending these lessons must be able to catch, groom, tack and mount on their own.
Group lessons start for riders who can walk trot independently and then are divided by jump height.

Bridget O’Neill began riding almost as soon as she could walk. As she grew older, she spent long days at the barn learning the art of horsemanship through trail riding, western pleasure shows, and riding huntseat for versatility competitions. In her early teens she moved on to hunter jumper, successfully competing at the C, A, and AA circuits. She currently trains and competes in eventing, dressage, and jumpers.

Bridget enjoys working with riders of all ages and abilities. Safety and a solid foundation are the important components of her lesson program. She believes wholeheartedly in the value and establishing strong basic skills in her students. As riders progress under her guidance, they gain insight into the complex relationship between horse and rider. Bridget develops riders who are well-rounded in total horsemanship and who know how to thoroughly care for their horses and equipment in addition to riding competently no matter what discipline they select.

Welcome to Spurling’s Hidden Treasures Riding Academy! You’re new home for horseback riding lessons for adults and children ages 6 and up! I was the original horseback riding instructor of Gallberry Stables in Hope Mills, NC and have moved to my own facility with a new name!

My name is Tiffany Spurling and I have been riding Horses for over 22 years and training horses and riders alike for the better part of 14 years now. Throughout that time I have acquired my own horses that are very good with the most beginner riders to the most advanced riders.

I offer my services to beginners through advanced. I have taught many riding styles such as Western Pleasure, Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, other Speed/Fun Events, Hunter/Jumper, Show Jumping, Cross-Country/ Eventing, Equitation, and Dressage. HAUL INS FOR LESSONS ARE WELCOME!

I do not claim to be a "certified" trainer, however, I have had many people tell me they have learned more in one lesson with me than they have in a year with a "certified" trainer. In the horseworld, just because one is certified does not mean they are the most knowledgeable. Most good trainers have had a lot of experience and never think they are too old or advanced to learn something new.

I have also worked under and trained horses with Cutting Horse Champion Jerry King. However, I do not offer cutting lessons. I learned from him how to start a horse from the ground up and how to train problem horses as well with great success.

We participate in local shows and take part in events at the Carolina Horse Park and many other show venues. We have a very family friendly environment so come join us in the equestrian experience!
