Cornerstone Equestrian is a full board facility located in Dacula GA, about 15 mins from mall of Georgia, 5 mins from 316 off Harbins road. Dressage, Jumper, and Equitation lessons available to boarders.

Devon Olivier is a recent graduate of the University of Georgia. She rode on the eventing team while attending college. She was on the 2016 USEA collegiate national championship team. She won the Open Prelim division at FENCE horse trials on 4-17-17 on her horse Karisma. She won the Open Prelim division at Paradise Farms on 2-17-17. Devon has won the individual Gold in the intercollegiate challenge at Chattahoochee Hills horse trials twice while on the UGA eventing team. Devon has trained numerous Off the Track Thoroughbreds and has gone to multiple national competitions with her horses. Devon has been a working student for Michael and Sharon Poulin (Bronze Medal at the Barcelona Olympics in dressage). While there she worked on getting correct and effective dressage training under her belt. She then worked for Mollie Zobel in South Carolina who was an upper level event trainer. Devon has worked with or taken lessons with Doug Payne, Elly Schobel, Michael Poulin, Sharon Poulin, Gwen Poulin. She has taken clinics with Werner Geven, Dom Schramm, Kyle Carter, Leslie Law, Jon Holling just to name a few. Devon offers lessons in dressage, jumpers and eventing. Devon has training privileges at Ashland Farms in Walnut Grove which offers a cross country course from starter thru Prelim. They also have two dressage arenas and a jumping arena. My goal is to foster a love of horsemanship and teach the proper techniques in caring for our equine friends. Students are taught to fully appreciate the responsibilities and rewards of being an equestrian and to develop a life-long respect for horses while learning self discipline, patience, perseverance and self confidence. I offer Western lessons. My students will learn the proper way to behave around horses, how to care for them, how to ride and why things are done the way they are; and to become accomplished, competent and independent riders. My lessons are designed for groups family members or one on one private lessons. I have owned, trained, and given lessons for 14 years. I am creating this new program for home schoolers. What will I learn?
If you are a new rider and do not already have a discipline preference your strengths and weaknesses can be assessed in the first few lessons. From that point it can be determined what riding style will be more beneficial to pursue.
If you are an intermediate or advanced rider The Academy welcomes all disciplines. Whether your goal is to be competitive at breed shows or have a handy trail or ranch horse, Flying Heels can get you there. Jennifer has experience in the following disciplines: western pleasure, western horsemanship, trail, showmanship, halter, hunter under saddle, hunt seat equitation, working hunter over fences, dressage, reining, extreme cowboy competitions, working cow horse, and ranch sorting. She is currently working on adding Cowboy Mounted Shooting to the list!
All aspects of equine care are covered in the lesson program. Proper use and fitting of equipment, lunging, trailer loading, nutrition, grooming, and first aid are a few examples of ground work that will be covered.
Lesson Specifics:

 Private Lesson (w/ travel): $45

All lessons include a full hour of under saddle instructional time. Lessons are available on your horse or a lesson horse. Please have your horse tacked up and ready prior to lesson time. Proper riding attire is mandatory: boots with a minimum of a ½” of heel and helmets for riders under 18. Helmets for adults are recommended. Please use safe tack and good judgment.
 Training per ride (travel): $35
 Training per ride (no travel): $25
Training is available by the ride. The duration of the training session depends mostly on how far along the horse is, bad habits, and the horse’s stamina. If ground work is necessary prior to any under saddle work, this will be included.
The training and lesson process: All horses and riders learn at different speeds and have varying skills and strengths. These factors will determine you and your horse’s progress. Over 35 years' experience in the equestrian industry, 14 years as a professional. I believe that riding should be fun and safe. I was taught by many wonderful trainers like; Berry Lane, Linda Allen, Daniel Geitner, and more. My focus is to ensure the rider has a strong and balanced leg, seat, and upper body. I believe a jump is simply a jump, it's how you ride between the jumps that matter.
I teach based on how each rider learns. I understand that every rider learns at their own pace, and I structure each lesson according to the rider's needs. I will not over face a rider, but I do ask a rider to step out of their comfort zone periodically, in a safe and understanding manor. I ask the riders to challenge themselves, not me forcing them.

I only offer private or semi private lessons. However, in the beginning I want a rider in a private setting so I can understand them and the rider can learn how I teach. Beginner riders are only private lessons, for their safety.
