My approach is grounded in mindfulness and effective communication, and we always start with the basics of understanding and being understood by horses. I tailor my program to each student's goals, skills, and interests.

For experienced horsepeople, I periodically offer a unique program that provides an opportunity to work with my previously-unhandled mustangs as they reach their first milestones in domestication. This program helps people understand the foundational principles and subtle nuances of equine behavior and communication in a way that few other experiences can. I travel to you for lessons as my space here is limited I will travel to your house, or boarding facility. Lessons start at $35 per hour. If you are 30+ miles outside of Wheat Ridge lessons are $45 per hour.

I also offer training services which include: Tune ups, finishing, limited colt starting, and foal handling. If you have a horse you'd like to train I will work with both you and the horse to help you achieve your riding goals. At this time I am only offering traveling training services a round pen at minimum is a must! Training starts at $250 for 30 days. If you are 30 + miles outside of the wheat ridge area training is $270 for 30 days.

Promenade Horsemanship Academy offers lessons for all ages and levels. Students learn horse behavior along with ground work and ridng skills. Learning how the horse behaves gives the students an indepth understanding of how to communicate better with the horse. We have several lesson horses or you can bring your own horse.

Current Classes:
Promenade Pony Pals - Saturday Ongoing Youth Group Lessons. For ages 6 to 18.

Youth Drill Team - Wednesdays and Saturdays. Learn drill maneuvers to music. Students make up routines and perform locally. Ages 8 to 18.

Junior Drill Team - Sundays 1:00 to 2:30 pm. Ages 6 to 9. Beginning drill maneuvers and horsemanship skills.

Lead Line Class - Fridays 12:30 to 1:30 for ages 3 to 6. Class for child and parent.

Beginning Adult Group Lessons - New class starting January 2013. Sundays from 2:30 to 4:00 pm. Limited space. $150 for 5 sessions, must preregister.

Ongoing Adult Group Lessons - Tuesdays 9:30 to 11:30 am. Focus is on drill riding to do demonstrations and parades. Horsemanship skills are emphasized. Also trail ride.

Time frames are not important when you learn to enjoy and trust the path you are on rather than trying to rush to complete your goals. It takes time to learn how to communicate with your horse and explain what you are asking, and then give them the time they need to develop and actually learn the exercises. When you take it day by day, month by month you will be surprised at how fast the progress actually comes.
