My experience in the horse industry includes; extensive involvements in the APHA (all-around) show circuit, field and arena polo, colt starting, jackpot rodeo, reining, cow horse, jumping, and dressage. I spent one year at a college prep school (Wasatch Academy) in central Utah where I studied / and teacher assisted their newly developed Equine Science Courses. I have interned and trained under many influential people who have shown me a variety of styles, techniques, and training methods. Most are simply trying to locate the fine lines between making progress consistently and hitting a wall and staying there. It really boils down to impeccable timing and loads of patience. I try my hardest to incorporate all of my past experiences with other students as well as horses to best fit the present client. My main concern in both training and teaching is trying to steer clear of fitting a square peg into a round hole. Its important to get an accurate read on your client to find out what they will be physically and mentally capable of and happy doing consistently without getting burned out.
