Stalls cleaned and given fresh pine shavings daily. Quality Coastal Bermuda hay fed 3 flakes 2× daily and grain of choice fed 2× daily. Supplements provided by owner fed for no extra fee. Fly spray, blankets, and sheets provided by owner all administered at no charge. Multiple daily health checks for colic, cuts, lameness, and water refills given often throughout the day. Savage Ranch is a boarding, training and showing equine facility conveniently located in Hillsborough, NC, between Durham, Chapel Hill, and Roxboro. At Savage Ranch, we offer high caliber care with our boarded horses given quality grain twice daily, turn out in large, grassy pastures with safe fencing and small herds (3-4 horses per 5-6 acres) with large run-in sheds, and unlimited hay in winter. For the trail riding enthusiast- 100's of acres of trails are available complete with streams, woods, obstacles, and jumps. A large fenced grass ring is available for working horses, along with hitching posts and a secure tack storage area. At this time, we only offer full-service pasture board.
We offer a relaxed, laid back atmosphere for our boarders, specializing in the adult amateur who wants to trail ride, attend clinics or small shows, hunter-paces, camping trips, and have an overall positive and relaxing experience with their horse. We do offer a limited number of training spots geared towards correct bio-mechanics and relaxed behavior both on the trails and in the ring. Lessons are also available focusing on effective position and peaceful partnership with the horse, and we also have different levels/disciplines of horses available for lease. We believe in gaining the most knowledge of the sport as possible and are open to and can recommend some fabulous off-site trainers for onsite help.
At Savage Ranch, we have and welcome a diverse group of horses and boarders-everything from the weekend warrior to the show rider, in many disciplines- western, ranch riding, trail, classical dressage, hunt, jumpers, and saddleseat- with abilities ranging from beginner to advanced.

Faucette Mill Farm is a one of kind facility operated near historic Hillsborough, NC, just minutes to Chapel Hill and Durham. The property includes over 160 acres of pastures, trails and Eno river frontage to enjoy while riding your horse. Our barn is custom built with 8 airy stalls complete with rubber mats and automatic waterers. There is a hot/cold wash rack, tack room, full bathroom and rec space. We have a 150 x 250 fenced arena with complete 10 jump course and excellent footing. Our specialty is hunter/jumpers but we welcome English riders of any discipline and level.

We are a women's no competion barn. We all enjoy each other's company and like to ride alone and with each other. We have 15 rolling acres and full turnout unless it is an ice storm or an injury when we do have stalls. We have trails out from our farm and are always interested in kind, soft eyed horses and women to join us. My job is to take care of your horse as you would like them taken care of within the limits of what we do. I don't believe that horses enjoy being locked in a stall. We are looking for quiet, well behaved horses that we can offer half off board if they are lightly used in our program. Students start bareback and must earn their saddles and then cloth reins on halter, later bitless bridles and only experienced riders use bits. Helmets and boots on all afterschool and Women's Intuitive Riders. On site managers who care for your horse as you would yourself in as natural a setting as possible. We are a no drama barn of middle aged women who are happy to ride together at times and alone at times. Non competitive atmosphere where we can just enjoy our connection to our horses. the Meadows is a private, secluded 73 acre farm with extensive wooded trails, full regulation jump set, competition size large outdoor riding ring, cross country jumps, wooden shed roe barns in for each pasture, hot water indoor wash rack, and a private center aisle barn... We are selectively taking on boarders for Winter 2018 of any discipline. 1 horse per acre on lush tifton / coastal grass (no small paddocks) top seeded with winter rye for year round grazing. Seminole and Nutrena top quality low starch feed and unlimited farm grown mixed hay provided. Thats right: You horse will always have free access organic hay or pasture to graze on, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Farrier service and vet service on site. The unique feature of this property will be the design. Horses have free access barns in their large pastures, board and post fencing with smooth no climb wire. Blanketing service provided within reason. We use sand in high traffic areas to minimize moisture/mud in winter months. Never worry about your horse having been brought in or out again! They will be snug with hay and shelters in the winter, and shaded by trees, shelters, with plenty of pasture grass in the summer.
