Head trainer, Lisa Hellmer is a kind and enthusiastic dressage trainer that welcomes all levels and abilities. She is a USDF Bronze, Silver and Gold medalist. She is the Development coach for Team USA's Para Dressage Team and a USEF Silver Para Dressage coach. She is a USPC Graduate B and holds a BS in Equine Business Management and Riding.

She has worked for top FEI trainers throughout the USA and in Europe at the Hannoverian verband. Lisa Hellmer provides quality, personalized dressage training for both able bodied and para dressage riders. She works with all types of horses and riders utilizing a cross training approach.

Lisa is able to travel for lessons, clinics and training rides. She is also accepting training clients at her farm in Dunnellon - 10 minutes from the new World Equestrian Center!

Rider Horsemanship’s approach to teaching horses and humans focuses on creating a space where connection (trust), communication and partnership form – in mind, body and soul. Our approach is one that seeks mindfulness – a way of being with horses that asks us to be conscious of our intent and actions, and always present.

The key concepts of Rider Horsemanship's Approach lies in the development of communication, confidence, balance, and harmony between horse and rider. The development of communication is foremost as it establishes a mutual understanding and cooperation between both. This cooperation allows both rider and horse to work confidently together in balance, which in turn promotes harmony. Rider Horsemanship focuses on finesse, not force, and the results are achieved more smoothly and easily than most riders could possibly imagine. We employ the philosophies, training techniques, and riding elements of classical dressage. Balance, harmony, suppleness, rhythm, combined with clear, mindful and consistent communication (through aids) becomes the dialogue between horse and rider. These methods, and goals, of classical horsemanship are timeless and applicable to any horse, breed, age and rider's choice of discipline. Much of what is currently termed Natural Horsemanship actually represents a modern rediscovery of some of classical dressage, specifically Xenophon's classical principles of horsemanship (first recorded writings of Greek writer, and horseman, Xenophon in the 4th century BC).

Anna is a 21 year old dressage trainer from Michigan. The past few years Anna has spent the summers in MI and the winters down here in Ocala. She brings client horses back and fourth as well as sale horses. Anna trained Unico G from a naughty 6y/o to preparation for the GP this year in a little over 3 years. Unico and Anna have come through the levels together training level through I-2 with an impressive record. They have own a few regional championships and qualified at each level through I-2 to compete. Anna also has another FEI horse Fidelio LHF who has successfully shown PSG and I-1 this summer with scores up to 69 at PSG and I-1. In addition, Anna rides for and trains with Belinda Nairn. Studied Dressage, trained hunters and has taken clinics with Judy Richter (H/J trainer and "R" judge) , Carol Maloney (H/J trainer and "R" judge), and Hanz Renz (3-Day Olympic Swiss Team Coach) makes her a well-rounded instructor. Whitney has a background in Hunter/Jumper/English Equitation/Basic Dressage and has been Horse Show Judge at rated shows in NY, NJ and PA.
