Riding lessons start on the ground first. Horsemanship lesson required first Introductory price of $65.00 hr. I make these lessons FUN! $85.00 for a private hour. I believe you should learn how to communicate effectively before climbing in the saddle. Earning the respect of your horse through groundwork techniques is essential to having clear communication and respect while mounted. My horse's are NOT your typical school horses, they are my personal well trained riding horses. I have miles of trails right out back. $50.00 for 1/2 hour available for children age 5-10 years old. Beginner or advanced rider you WILL learn safety tips that you were never taught! How many times have you heard "I rode once, the horse took off..... never rode again". Lessons, training and coaching with Julie Blackburn. Julie teaches all riders "balance seat" which is an all purpose seat that encourages riding by balance rather than strength or force. Based on a modified dressage seat, balance seat encompasses riding on the flat as well as jumping and cross country riding.

Balance seat lessons can help you become a more effective rider by teaching you to control your breathing, vision, posture and mental imaging. This allows you to ride in a relaxed and balanced manner in any style saddle, using any rein handling technique.

Balance seat riders learn how to establish a harmonious physical interaction with their horse, rather than just achieving a prescribed show ring seat. Lessons include both mounted and unmounted exercises.

I have been involved in the equine industry for the past 18 years as a horse owner, rider, competitor, manager, coach, and trainer. With riding background encompassing hunters/jumpers, equitation, western/English pleasure, eventing, competitive trail, dressage and driving, I am a well-rounded and open-minded equestrian, always in search of more learning! In 2006, I completed a 6 month apprenticeship with master farrier Dicky Sevigny. Then in 2008, after a year apprenticeship under MA licensed instructor and farrier, Frank Longo, I received my instructors license. I have also worked with noted trainers such as Lainey Johnson, Susan Williams, Nona Bianchi, Gwenyth Santagate, Diane Marshall, and Melissa Tansey. I regularly host clinics at my barn with Sue, Nona, and Diane.

Full Circle Equestrian offers instruction from beginner through advanced in English/western Pleasure, hunters/jumpers, dressage, and gymkhana. All lessons are located in Blackstone, MA while my brand new state of the art facility in Uxbridge, MA is being built.
