Named one of America’s “Top 50 Riding Instructors” by the American Riding Instructors Association, Karen Ososki is a sought-after clinician with a proven ability to improve performance in equines of all disciplines, while maintaining and enhancing their mental and physical soundness. “Refined Performance Horsemanship” or RPH is the name of her unique method, developed over years of training dressage, jumping, and western horses.

Karen has found instruction to be the perfect way to combine her life-long passions for horses, learning, and teaching. As a riding instructor for over 30 years, her focus is onpromoting healthy and harmonious training and riding techniques. When you combine a horse with a centered body and mind, and a rider with a centered body and mind, the most beautiful partnership is born.

"I became an American Riding Instructors Association instructor in 2005. Currently, I am certified with ARICP Level III Certification to teach Dressage and Level II Certification to teach Hunter Seat. I am also a graduate of the Western Dressage Association's "Train the Trainer" program.

Cedar Ridge Equine specialize in riding instruction for all ages and disciplines of riders. We also offer breeding, training, showing and sales of top quality Morgan and Quarter Horses. We have two locations:Grass Valley, Ca. and the other in Bozeman, MT. which has a brand new indoor and outdoor riding facility, which makes lessons available year round! We offer riding lessons, summer camps, and training in a wide variety of disciplines. The trainers/instructors have years of equine expertise in a variety of disciplines from hunt seat equitation/pleasure, dressage, western dressage/cowboy dressage, saddle seat, trail, and western pleasure as well as rodeo events such as barrel racing, pole bending, goat tying, and roping events with numerous titles and wins at national competition levels. We have offered Summer Horsemanship Camps for over 12 years for youth of all ages, levels and disciplines.In all our CRE Summer Horsemanship Camps, we believe it is important to teach life skill development and personal growth as an intricate component of our horsemanship program. After conducting several educational studies on life skill development through the use of horses, we found it most effective to teach about responsibility, relationships, communication, leadership, and team work through horse safety and care; haltering, tying and leading a horse; horse behavior observation and horse anatomy; and on-the-ground horsemanship. Campers will spend time in the saddle, working on the ground with the horses and will participate in daily take home equine crafts and journaling activities. We put a strong emphasis on life skill development for youth within all of horsemanship camps and lessons.
