Riding lessons are now being offered at Shiloh Farms located in Auburn/Camp Hill area. Our lesson program focuses on the multiple aspects of horsemanship and developing a solid foundation of basic equitation. We pride ourselves on providing a fun experience while learning not simply how to ride, but also how to care for horses and equipment. Lessons are offered to riders of ages 5< in levels from beginners through intermediate in hunter/jumpers.
$40 for a single private lesson
$30 for a group of 3 or more riders
Packages of 4 lessons within a month are $140 for private lessons

My name is Ansley Edmondson & I'm 17 years old. Don't let my age fool you, I know my stuff. I have been rodeoing all my life and love it. I can Team rope, heading or Healing, but I Absolutely love teaching Timed events like Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Arena, & Stake race. I can also teach breakaway roping, goat tying, and queen contest. I Love what i do and im not in it to make money, im in it to teach safety and proper ridding.

The Chambers County Saddle Club will be hosting a barrel racing and horsemanship clinic at the Lafayette Arena. We will open registrartion at 8:30 AM cst & start at 9:00 Am cst. The cost ot the clinic will be $25 per perticipant and is open to anyone with a horse regardless of ridding level, age, or horse's experience. We are a small welsh pony breeding operation located in Wetumpka al. We are a private farm and sadly rarely if ever offer boarding opportunities.

We do however have a herd of amazing welsh ponies and do occasionally offer riding lessons (only a few students at a time). We specialize in hunter jumper ponies and beginners. We also offer our ponies to short term show leases when they are not with foals (typically august-feb). Our farm is small quiet and just the right sort of haven for young timid students looking to get a solid foundation without being one of many students.

Hunter/jumper riding instruction for all ages and skill level. Over 20 years experience in teaching and showing.

I love to teach about horsemanship and Safety. Whether you are new to horse ownership and or riding.
Have been competing since 15 years of age. Realized that we were not putting the horse first in training and showing. Chose a new path. Was given an opportunity at a QH breeder when I got back from Army. Starting youngstock and utilizing my own methods of starting horses using my own methods. I had less bucking and fighting of starting horses that I started a program in Texas lease to train, which is when a horse comes in that needs to be started from beginning i give one of my clients to work under me and lease the horse for same price as monthly lessons. Then the client has a choice after to either take up the horse their own or help sell the horse.
Utilizing equine psychology and human psychology to assist in training and help those who are in need of help getting back in the saddle utilizing methods that were taught to me.
Most that come here are looking for more of a relaxed atmosphere while still learning and training as such most of the lessons are 1.5 to 2 hours long. As there is time for Q&A, discussion topics. We are a small facility that focuses on beginner riders, as well as those who desire to show in the hunters and jumpers. We are active on the Alabama Hunter Jumper Association circuit, and have horses available for show opportunities and half leases.
If needed, we can also come to you for instruction.
With over 25 years of horse experience, trainer Sarah Maxwell has become a certified riding instructor, and is able to boast helping many riders up the levels of horsemanship.
Pony parties and camps are also available throughout the year!
In 2021, 2 of our horses and riders placed in the top 6 of the AHJA Jumpers. Currently in 2022, each of our riders and their equine partners are in at least the top 10 in each division they're in!... See More
