If your horse is needing a refresher or just time with someone in the saddle, this is the place for you. Specializing in show horses (ie. halter, western pleasure, horsemanship, showmanship, etc). Also can take in weanlings/yearlings for halter breaking and under saddle prep work.

Cost is $350/mo of training. This price includes feed, hay, grooming, training, and your lessons...It does not cover for any of your horse's medical expenses should they arise. Please have UTD health records, including negative coggins.

We do not break horses or take in problem horses!! If there is a horse that comes in and we just do not seem to get along, I will tell you immediately and prorate your fee for the time it was under my supervision.

We offer full service boarding, English riding/jumping lessons for those new to riding or very advanced, and training for horses and riders of all skill! Our trainers can teach all levels of riders and all ages, all you need is the love of ponies and the desire to learn! You are never too old to ride, in fact many of the riders at Ironhorse are adults. Our trainers are licensed and insured, taking students to local schooling shows with HJEO and to bigger A rated shows for those that are ready. Stay in the Saddle teaches basic western horsemanship and riding lessons both in one-on-one lessons and through instructional materials. The focus of these lessons is to achieve the Four C's of riding: Comfort, Communication, Control and Confidence. We believe that a rider must first accomplish the basics if they ever want to succeed in the saddle. Safety is a must and only gentle ranch horses are used.

A great selection of experienced and safe school horses are available for lessons, partial leases, and showing. I teach Beginning to Intermediate English riding lessons. I work with beginners of all ages from four and up. All lessons are private hour long or half-hour long sessions. Reasonable prices vary depending on level of riding and specific client needs. My focus is on teaching solid horsemanship principles and emphasizing safety, but having a fun time while riding. Beginner through advanced riding lessons.

Lindsay has been riding for 16 years and showed competitively in children's and junior hunters as well numerous equitation and medal championships under the training and instruction of Carol Fulton. In 1999 she won the Greater Oklahoma Equitation Medal. She also was recognized as Best Child Rider both at the AHSA Zone 7 Finals as well as at the Estes Park Hunter Jumper Festival. In 2000 she was named as the Oklahoma Hunter Jumper Association Equitation Champion.

In college, Lindsay became a top competitor for the Oklahoma State Varsity Equestrian Team, representing the school nationally. During all four years on the OSU Equestrian Team, Lindsay received a Varsity Athletic Scholarship and was on the Commissioner’s Honor Roll for Big VII Athletics. In the show ring, Lindsay won many titles including High Point Rider. Individually, she qualified all four years for regional and zone championships, ranking top 3 in flat and over fences divisions while also accumulating winning points for the team. In 2005, Lindsay was voted MVP by her teammates, an honor to be chosen for her hard work and dedication.

As a graduate of Oklahoma State University, Lindsay is an accomplished interior designer and takes pride in being a self-motivated, dependable person. Her background and experience with horses has become her passion, which she enjoys passing on to others. Students will learn basic horse care and knowledge, as well as correct terms and techniques for English riding. All brushes and tack are provided for school horses. An assortment of helmets and paddock boots are available as well, but having your own riding approved shoe with a heel is recommended so that they fit properly. Tennis shoes are not considered riding apparel.

Along with teaching riding lessons, Lindsay offers a training program for young horses or horses who need a few tune up rides. Monthly packages or by-the-ride pricing is available.... See More
