The Riding School at Mare’s Run Farm in Tazewell, VA offers a complete horsemanship training experience for all ages. In addition to riding, students learn the responsibility of grooming and tacking up a horse. Students also learn basic horsemanship and care of horses. Brentsville Stables, located in Prince William County. Virginia, is a family owned and operated equestrian facility. We specialize in English riding lessons for all ages and levels, primarily focused on beginning and intermediate riders. We offer an instructional program which includes English pleasure, hunt seat equitation, and jumping. Our riders learn in 45 minute private lessons for $55 and semi private lessons for $50 a rider. I am a behavioral specialist, using liberty training (advanced groundwork) and classical Dressage technique/theory with an emphasis on biomechanics and "riding with humility" to achieve unity with your horse- making you and him/her reach for your potential and begin a journey of self transformation.

Horses will help you find yourself if you give respect, ask for respect, listen to them, and surrender your fear.

My training is Dressage based but I believe all horses need a versatile foundation and incorporate XC schooling, cavaletti, trail riding, and fun but challenging activities when appropriate to build confidence in the horse and rider. I teach riders of all ages and experience levels on their own horses in the comfort of their own facility. I can also travel to shows or schooling events. Couderay Springs Farm offers horseback riding lessons for all ages and all levels of riders. We specialize in well rounded English lessons that are safe, fun, and educational. Taylor is originally from North Carolina. At the age of four, she started riding horses and by age six she was doing low level barrel jackpots to compete at on weekends. Her love for horses stemmed from there and she learned everything she could from anyone and every horse she could ride or work with!

Taylor began training and colt starting around the age of fifteen with the help of her own trainer until she ventured off by herself to start training for various clients. She eventually went on to compete in and out of state state barrel racing competitions until she turned seventeen. At that point, she focused more on training and flipping horses.

Her love is not just for barrel racing, but also for pole bending, trail riding, colt starting, and restart projects! The most gratifying part of Taylor’s passion is not only helping owners/riders build confidence and skill but also their horses.
