Hello, horse enthusiasts! I am a retired riding coach/trainer/instructor with a passion for the equestrian world and a desire to get "back into the saddle again" and share my knowledge and skills with budding riders.

I am seeking grassroots, home-based beginner riders of any age within a 30-40 minute radius of Indianapolis, IN 46268. I offer private and group lessons at an affordable $35 per hour.

I Will Travel to You! I no longer have access to horses. So, I am looking for students needing instruction on their horse and location. There is no need to worry about transportation; I will come to your farm or location, bringing my expertise and enthusiasm to your doorstep.

Specializing in Beginner Hunter Jumper and Equitation, my teaching primarily focuses on the English Style of Riding, Beginner Jumping, Beginner to Intermediate Hunter Jumper, and Hunt Seat Equitation.

I am a Retired Hunt Seat Certified. As a retired instructor and coach of the American Riding Instructors Association and retired Interscholastic Equestrian Team Coach, I bring a wealth of experience and a proven track record to my teaching.

My experience extends beyond coaching and training. I was the Founder and Director of an equine non-profit called "Ponies and Kids." I ran successful lesson, showing, camp, and outreach programs in West Lafayette, Indiana.

After several rewarding years in retirement, during which I've had the joy of helping raise my grandchildren, I find myself drawn back to a long-standing passion of mine. My fulfillment from family life is immense, but I can no longer ignore the persistent calling to return to my chosen vocation of teaching children, young adults, and adults how to care for and ride a horse.

It's not just about mastering the skill of riding but also instilling in them a deep respect and understanding of how to care for horses safely. Fairland Farms is an eventing barn located close to the Indiana Downs racetrack in Shelbyville, very close to I-74.

We offer both Dressage and jumping lessons and place a lot of emphasis on developing a strong foundation on the flat in order to be more successful over fences. We have a very active show program starting early spring until late fall including dressage, combined tests some hunter jumper shows and lots of eventing. We pride ourselves on having an excellent team spirit and very supportive members so there's always a great atmosphere at the shows and our competitive results reflect the dedication and preperation of our horses and riders.

Fairland Farms is a beautiful facility, with a large indoor arena that is completely dust free and is ideal for winter riding. There are also lots of options for riding outdoors when the weather allows. We have two full courses of showjumps and a number of cross country fences for schooling. It is a very peaceful farm and a relaxing, happy place for horses and riders.

We have openings for two new students in the lesson program who could be possible candidates for joining our show team for 2011.
