I have been riding and training dressage horses for the last 10 years. During this time I have earned my usdf bronze medal on my self made lipizzan, and i am only 2 scores from my usdf silver. Prior to this, I was very sucessful in the eventing world. I competed internationally with US olympian Louise Merryman. During my time as an equine professional, i have trained and worked for some of the top riders in the country. I have ridden and trained all breeds of horses and pride myself on being able to get the most out of each individual. I am a true believer that Dressage can improve any horse in any disipline. Fairland Farms is an eventing barn located close to the Indiana Downs racetrack in Shelbyville, very close to I-74.

We offer both Dressage and jumping lessons and place a lot of emphasis on developing a strong foundation on the flat in order to be more successful over fences. We have a very active show program starting early spring until late fall including dressage, combined tests some hunter jumper shows and lots of eventing. We pride ourselves on having an excellent team spirit and very supportive members so there's always a great atmosphere at the shows and our competitive results reflect the dedication and preperation of our horses and riders.

Fairland Farms is a beautiful facility, with a large indoor arena that is completely dust free and is ideal for winter riding. There are also lots of options for riding outdoors when the weather allows. We have two full courses of showjumps and a number of cross country fences for schooling. It is a very peaceful farm and a relaxing, happy place for horses and riders.

We have openings for two new students in the lesson program who could be possible candidates for joining our show team for 2011. Students are encouraged to trailer-in for lessons on their own horse or we also offer lessons on Fairland Farm's horses. Four Willows Farm, LLC is a saddlebred barn that specializes in teaching the correct fundamentals of saddleseat and beginner western riding. We teach beginner to advanced saddleseat for ages six to adult. Beginner western riding lessonss available upon request. We offer a summer and winter camps. I am a Retired Hunt Seat Certified. As a retired instructor and coach of the American Riding Instructors Association and retired Interscholastic Equestrian Team Coach, I bring a wealth of experience and a proven track record to my teaching.

My experience extends beyond coaching and training. I was the Founder and Director of an equine non-profit called "Ponies and Kids." I ran successful lesson, showing, camp, and outreach programs in West Lafayette, Indiana.

After several rewarding years in retirement, during which I've had the joy of helping raise my grandchildren, I find myself drawn back to a long-standing passion of mine. My fulfillment from family life is immense, but I can no longer ignore the persistent calling to return to my chosen vocation of teaching children, young adults, and adults how to care for and ride a horse.

It's not just about mastering the skill of riding but also instilling in them a deep respect and understanding of how to care for horses safely.
