“Safety first” is the foundation of my lesson philosophy. Once we have safety skills in place, we can be free to let the fun begin! My teaching style is very laid back and relaxed because I thoroughly enjoy teaching you to ride. I want to project that to my students so you get your best ride possible in every lesson. Are you ready to work? Every lesson will be an energy-filled hour. We go at your pace, but constantly keep things fresh with lots of different exercises and equestrian theory. You will get more out of riding if you know why you are sitting that trot, keeping your heels down, eyes up, toes in. Each lesson should teach you something new as well as practicing what you already know.

I don’t push showing, but if you want to compete I can get you ready for the ring. I have students who show WCSA, CSDEA and MN Hunter. I also have students that never enter a show ring, and that’s okay too. What matters most is that you enjoy lesson times- whether you will be throwing a leg over the saddle for the first time, have gotten away from riding and want to start up again, or are looking to build on the skills you already have and take riding to the next level.

Amanda's first horse, a wild mustang, inspired her to start on a journey to become the best horseman she could possibly be for him. A horse-lover since childhood, she is dedicated to the study of horse behavior, horse psychology, and advanced horsemanship. She has trained and competed in multiple disciplines and has developed a love of cross-training to showcase the versatility of well-rounded horses. We offer lessons on lesson horses, on site leases on horses, boarding and training.

I have over 40 years of experience around horses and have 30+ years teaching riders and training horses.

We have a large heated and well lighted 80x200 indoor arena that is comfortable for year round riding. This arena includes an observation deck with couches and chairs so the spectators can relax and watch the riders or use the WIFI to work on his or her computer. Forced air heat in the indoor arena to keep warm for the winter and 40 ceiling fans keep you and your horse cool and comfortable in the summer.

Spacious 100x300 outdoor arena that is secluded among large beautiful old oak trees and with an observation deck so the spectators are comfortable for watching the riders as well.

1.5 mile sand trail and riding fields over 80 acres are fun to ride on and learn how to ride on uneven terrain and out in the open. We can go for a slow ride to relax on or go faster around the farm. The lesson horses and ponies are excellent all over the farm.

Cross country jumps scattered all around the farm for multiple difficulty levels.

Two 9x12 grooming stalls and two 9x12 wash stalls with hot and cold water to use year round.

TVs available to watch while you are grooming a horse, in the kitchen or relaxing in the lounge.

In-floor heat in the concrete throughout the barn.

WIFI available in the barn.

Hot and cold water with a tack cleaning station within the tack room.
