We are a full service stable providing quality riding instruction for the beginner to advanced rider. Riders of all ages and skill levels, summer camps offered, horsemanship skills taught. Established academy program for the adult and child rider as well as attending shows on a local - national level. We teach centered riding in a safe environment geared toward the individual's needs/goals. This balanced way of riding can then be used to go into whatever discipline the rider chooses, be it english or western. Fairhaven Farm is conveniently located to Rome, Summerville, Cedar Bluff, Cave Spring and Silver Creek. Owner/Operator Kimberly Wallace is American Riding Instructor Certified; a USDF Silver Medalist; is participating in the USDF "L Judges: Certification program; Preliminary Eventer (less than 6% of eventers compete at this level and above) and Assistant Coach to both the English and Western Berry College Equestrian teams. Kimberly has both a lifetime of experience in both Europe and the United States as well as a teachers heart so you will learn correctly from your first lesson and NOT have to re-learn/correct something later after its become a bad habit!! Her goal is to help every rider achieve his/her goals safely whether they be basic riding or International competition, Her lessons are broken into small pieces and presented in a logical order to help each students and training horse understand one another clearly. Dry Creek Stables teaches students complete horsemanship by making sure that all the basics are covered from horse psychology, horse grooming, saddling and bridling, to the basics of centered riding and natural horsemanship. We are a small family owned farm, offering beginner horse backing lessons for adults, children and the timid. The atmosphere here is casual and inviting and safety is our biggest concern.

We offer Western riding lessons and begin by learning all about a horse and how they think, then we teach you how to groom a horse, how to saddle up a horse, how to ride, then how to unsaddle, cool him down and groom him after the ride. So you understand the experience from beginning to end. You spend time getting to know your lesson horse and of course treats of carrots and apples are always appreciated.
