Cedar Ridge Equine specialize in riding instruction for all ages and disciplines of riders. We also offer breeding, training, showing and sales of top quality Morgan and Quarter Horses. We have two locations:Grass Valley, Ca. and the other in Bozeman, MT. which has a brand new indoor and outdoor riding facility, which makes lessons available year round! We offer riding lessons, summer camps, and training in a wide variety of disciplines. The trainers/instructors have years of equine expertise in a variety of disciplines from hunt seat equitation/pleasure, dressage, western dressage/cowboy dressage, saddle seat, trail, and western pleasure as well as rodeo events such as barrel racing, pole bending, goat tying, and roping events with numerous titles and wins at national competition levels. All ages and levels of riders welcome, beginner (starting as young as age 3!) to advanced riders. Bring your horse or use one of our safe, sane, reliable, lesson horses. We strive to provide a safe, fun and educational environment for all ages to learn and grow in their horsemanship skills. We have offered Summer Horsemanship Camps for over 12 years for youth of all ages, levels and disciplines.In all our CRE Summer Horsemanship Camps, we believe it is important to teach life skill development and personal growth as an intricate component of our horsemanship program. After conducting several educational studies on life skill development through the use of horses, we found it most effective to teach about responsibility, relationships, communication, leadership, and team work through horse safety and care; haltering, tying and leading a horse; horse behavior observation and horse anatomy; and on-the-ground horsemanship. Campers will spend time in the saddle, working on the ground with the horses and will participate in daily take home equine crafts and journaling activities. We put a strong emphasis on life skill development for youth within all of horsemanship camps and lessons.
