Pam Thode of Meadowlark’s Song is hosting a program FREE to Veterans sponsored by The Sunny Horse Foundation. The name of the program is VETERANS EQUINE EXPERIENCE. This program is designed to bring Veterans and horses together in purpose-driven ground work exercises. Classes are held weekly on Wednesday at 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Our lead instructor has over 7 years designing and working with Veterans in horsemanship classes. We can bring horse energy into your life! You do not need a horse or even want to ride. We are a Premier certified barn with PATH International.

Pam also works with people of all ages who want to enjoy the wonderful energy of the horse. Pam is a certified therapeutic riding instructor with the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship. If you long to be with horses and never gave yourself permission to do so, now is the time. Come see Pam.

Pam is also a certified Horse Trainer. She trains the horse, along with the owner. She focuses on the development of a fine riding and therapy equine. Natural Horsemanship and Energy work bring the horse and owner into a solid bond. Pam has 3 therapy horses or she will work with you and your horse at your location. Two of these horses are also lesson/riding horses.

Clinician Cody Harrison is here to assist you and your horse through your own individual journey. Regardless of where you currently are in your journey or how far you aspire to go with your equine partner, Cody can help set you up to be successful and show you how to communicate clearly so you and your horse can truly enjoy your partnership.

Each and every horse and rider have their own path to follow in order to reach their goal. When working with Cody through clinics, lessons, training, or our Immersion Program, he will help you find the path that fits you and your horse’s needs. Your path will be unlike everyone else. Cody believes that we and our horses are all unique and we should remain as individuals.

Time frames are not important when you learn to enjoy and trust the path you are on rather than trying to rush to complete your goals. It takes time to learn how to communicate with your horse and explain what you are asking, and then give them the time they need to develop and actually learn the exercises. When you take it day by day, month by month you will be surprised at how fast the progress actually comes.

When working with Cody you will learn to truly feel what your horse is doing and how they feel in that moment. How they feel physically, energetically, and emotionally. Cody takes all of these things into consideration for both the horse and its rider.

Lauren Gueswel, specializing in intermediate level riders for Working Equitation and Hunter/Jumper with a dressage foundation. Lauren and her students frequent Working Equitation shows in Colorado, Nebraska, and Las Vegas, as well as Hunter/Jumper CHJA and schooling shows throughout Colorado. We are a down-to-earth fun supportive group to show with.

Jesse Johnson specializes in beginner through advanced level riders in Hunter/Jumper, Eventing, and Western disciplines. Jesse and her students frequent Hunter/Jumper shows at the CHJA and schooling show levels. She establishes safety basics, solid seat, balance, and handling/horsemanship. Jesse takes the time to establish safe riding and handling habits in all her students to make them not only a rider, but a good horseman/horsewoman.

Kelly Cartright focuses on beginner to intermediate Hunters and Equitation. Kelly has an eye for detail and a knack for establishing a very solid position in her students resulting in fabulous position for any of the three rings! CHILDREN -- Group classes and private horsemanship lessons are offered for children and youth from the ages of 5 through 18. Lessons are provided on our horses and ponies in Firestone, Colorado. We teach from a child development perspective with the goal of helping each rider develop a balanced seat. Lessons with younger children or beginners involve ground lessons and lunging to allow the rider to focus on developing control and balance. As the rider advances, lessons include training in an arena and on the trail. All riders work in English tack or bareback and all riders learn about the care of horses. Tack is provided but riders must provide their own SEI approved riding helmet. Appropriate riding clothes and boots are highly recommended.

ADULTS -- Private lessons offered for adults at most levels. We teach from a developmental perspective with the goal of helping each rider develop a balanced seat. We have a deep appreciation for the issues adults face in riding – old fears and anxieties, self-consciousness, physical limitations, etc. Lessons involve ground work and lunging to allow the rider to focus on developing control and balance. As the rider advances, lessons include training in an arena and on the trail.

At Body N Soul, our goal is to provide equine training and lessons using an integrative approach that focuses on building healthy relationships between individuals and horses in a safe environment that promotes partnership. We offer lessons, training, and intensives as well as a boarding facility.

We use an integrative approach that pulls from various different disciplines to allow us to promote and build partnerships and allowing for a greater skills set for each rider and their equine partner. We know that being around horses can empowering for people. We want to encourage this growth and development in our students and have these life skills that horses offer transfer back to other life settings.

We also offer lesson with a therapeutic intent. Horses are wonderfully empathic beings who can act as mirrors for us who are looking to grow and understand ourselves.
