Baily Dent Equestrian is an established program located in just outside of Charlottesville, Va. at Millington Stables. Our facility boasts 50 stalls, 2 out door rings, spacious grassy turnout, and 1000+ acres of trails through Farmington Hunt Country. Baily Dent is our head trainer. She grew up riding and showing in Charlottesville, Virginia and has spent a lifetime showing at some of the most prestigious horse show in the country. Baily has successfully brought along many young horses and riders to achieve the same kind of success she has enjoyed throughout her career. Baily stresses good basics in her teaching and believes that this strong foundation is what brings riders success in and out of the show ring with their horses. Baily strives to use all forms of communication with her riders to identify how each individual learns best, be it visually, verbally or hepatically. Our lessons are geared toward any age rider who wants to learn a safe and effective approach to riding in a fun and friendly environment. Private and group lessons are available. Madison K Brown, head trainer and barn manager at Garnet Hill Farm, has a select few openings for new students and training horses. With an emphasis on proper horsemanship, development, and equitation, Madison seeks to bring out the very best in each horse and rider in her program.

Madiosn has over 15 years of experience in the hunter/jumper world, with specific expertise in green horses, pony hunters, junior and adult equitation, and collegiate riding. She has ridden with some of the biggest and the best in the country, competed through the "A"/"AA" circuit, and been a member of an NCAA Division I equestrian team. Madison has the expertise, drive, and style to take you and your horse to the top.

Lessons are available to riders ages 5+ in the disciplines of hunters, jumpers, and equitation. We do have a limited number of school horses and ponies available for students who do not have their own mount, or will happily help you find the perfect match to buy or lease! Students who have their own horses are welcome to board with us at Garnet Hill, or ship in.

Training is available as well, for horses of all experience levels from starting to showing. We have individualized programs and very competitive rates.

Madchen Giesler, owns and operates Rock-A-Bye Ranch, a full service training and sales barn. We specialize in Hunter/Jumper training from young horses to Grand Prix as well as sales, sales consignment and imports. We are located on 80 acres in beautiful Gardnerville, Nevada just 20 minutes from South Lake Tahoe and a half hour from Carson City.

We offer lessons for beginner to advanced riders and training programs for young horses to the Grand Prix level. Our trainers have experience riding and training through the upper levels and are active participants in the California A Show Circuit. We have 23 stalls on the property and two 5 acres pastures. Full training and board ranges from $850.00 to $1200.00 a month and includes: Horses fed twice daily (lunch and grain fed upon request), stalls cleaned daily (shavings added as needed), horses blanketed and unblanketed, and 5 lessons or training rides weekly. We have eleven 200x80 lush grass pastures that horses are turned out on 5 days a week for a minimum of two hours. All pastures have heated automatic waters and electric fencing.

We are a small program which allows us to provide individualized Hunter-Jumper training tailored to our clients skills and goals. Our programs are suitable for those seeking to excel in the competition ring or simply have fun and learn about horses while enjoying the outdoors. Huckleberry Lane Farms program emphasizes strong riding skills and horsemanship in a safe, friendly environment. Ride one of our horses or bring your own! Shaun Sellers started riding at the age of 10 under Swiss International Vaulting Champion and Eventer, Andrea Huber. There Shaun learned about an effective, balanced position, soft hands and the importance of being a horseman first. While with Andrea, Shaun joined the Northern Exposure Pony Club where he learned a substantial amount about horse care, equine first aid and was afforded great riding opportunities with top national and international dressage, show jumping, and 3 day event riders. Shaun credits much of his attention to detail and standard of care to his years in the United States Pony Club. Later, Shaun stepped into the jumper and local hunter rings before realizing great success the A rated level. In his early 20’s Shaun spent 3 months working on a breeding farm in NC, where he learned the basics of AI start to finish. After an educational summer Shaun was offered a job grooming for international show jumper, Andres Rodriguez, tending to the care of the horses on the national side at The Pfizer Million, and America Gold Cup. Shaun realized after a month of grooming an internationally competitive show string he missed being in the saddle, and accepted an assistant training position at Canterbury Stables in NY. There Shaun acquired a great 6 month education in dressage, riding with top dressage clinicians, and horsemanship clinicians. Shaun then was offered a position managing top hunters, and later jumpers for a private family in Chicago IL. It was here Shaun was really able to put all his education to use and focus on understanding the business side, while managing and maintaining the owners string of horses. After 5 yrs in Chicago, Shaun began freelancing and helping professionals from Kentucky, Mississippi, and New York run their farm/businesses through the summer. Most recently Shaun was offered the opportunity to start his own business in Marcy, NY. This new venture is where Shaun was able to put all his experience and education to work.
