Shaun Sellers started riding at the age of 10 under Swiss International Vaulting Champion and Eventer, Andrea Huber. There Shaun learned about an effective, balanced position, soft hands and the importance of being a horseman first. While with Andrea, Shaun joined the Northern Exposure Pony Club where he learned a substantial amount about horse care, equine first aid and was afforded great riding opportunities with top national and international dressage, show jumping, and 3 day event riders. Shaun credits much of his attention to detail and standard of care to his years in the United States Pony Club. Later, Shaun stepped into the jumper and local hunter rings before realizing great success the A rated level. In his early 20’s Shaun spent 3 months working on a breeding farm in NC, where he learned the basics of AI start to finish. After an educational summer Shaun was offered a job grooming for international show jumper, Andres Rodriguez, tending to the care of the horses on the national side at The Pfizer Million, and America Gold Cup. Shaun realized after a month of grooming an internationally competitive show string he missed being in the saddle, and accepted an assistant training position at Canterbury Stables in NY. There Shaun acquired a great 6 month education in dressage, riding with top dressage clinicians, and horsemanship clinicians. Shaun then was offered a position managing top hunters, and later jumpers for a private family in Chicago IL. It was here Shaun was really able to put all his education to use and focus on understanding the business side, while managing and maintaining the owners string of horses. After 5 yrs in Chicago, Shaun began freelancing and helping professionals from Kentucky, Mississippi, and New York run their farm/businesses through the summer. Most recently Shaun was offered the opportunity to start his own business in Marcy, NY. This new venture is where Shaun was able to put all his experience and education to work. At Echo Ridge Stables fun and safety come first. In lessons (both English and Western are offered), students experience the joys and satisfaction of working with horses through mutual respect, patience and trust. Students begin by learning the basic principles of working safely with and around horses on the ground, as well as riding both in an arena and on the trail. While most lessons focus on riding for pleasure, students can progress to competition level if desired. The stable's lesson program follows Equine Canada's Learn To Ride model. Summer Camps are also available.

Echo Ridge Stables also offers trail rides through the beautiful woods and fields of central PEI. Riders are matched with suitable mounts based on their rider rating (beginner, intermediate, advanced) and guided by certified instructors. Safety equipment is provided. My name is Wyatt McCoy I am 15 years old and live in Cove City NC. My family has had our farm ever since the 1800s we have raised cattle since the 1940s and we have always loved horses. I started riding horses about 6 years ago and I have always loved and wanted to care for horses and teach the next generation of horsemen and women. I currently have 4 horses of my own and am teaching lessons I have trained horses, I have worked with problem horses. I love working with problem horses because I love giving them a chance that someone else might not give them I have always loved to work with rescue horses and one of my horses is a rescue horse that me and my kids are working with to become a lesson horse for them to ride. I have done both Western and English. I have worked with all sorts of horses, the slowest that come and very green horses. I am also willing to board your horse as well. Horsemanship and riding academy for both English and western disciplines with a focus on creating a community and improving horsemanship skills.

Will Abel began his riding career at the age of 10 and quickly advanced through the levels in both riding and horsemanship. He started showing on the local AQHA circuits and branched out to NRHA, APHA, PtHA, and IEA throughout high school. A couple of Will’s biggest accomplishments were placing in the top ten and top 15 in the Varsity Open Reining at the IEA Nationals in 2016 and 2017. As Will’s horse-showing career progressed, showing the all-around became Will’s biggest passion, as he could exhibit the plethora of skills he had acquired throughout the years.
